Grover Beach is located in California's Central Coast region located  92 miles north of Santa Barbara and 150 miles south of Monterey in San Luis Obispo County. It covers 2.25 square miles and offers an Amtrak train stop, a post office, stores, shops and restaurants.

Approximately 13,000 residents call Grover Beach home. It provides a wonderful quality of life for with its moderate coastal climate and diverse recreational opportunities. Activities such as dune hiking, fishing, golfing, a skate park and off-road vehicle riding are just some of the activities which draw roughly a million tourists a year. A train station located on Highway 1 provides Amtrak rail service with two daily stops.

South County Skate Park is a 13,234 square foot facility which features a bowl area for skateboarding.  Skateboarding and  in-line skating are the only sports permitted in this state-of-the-art outdoor park located on Ramona Avenue between 16th Street and Oak Park Boulevard. The Park is open daily until sunset and the cost is $2/skater for all day use. The Grover Beach Park & Recreation Department provides on-site staffing to monitor activities.
